Information We Collect

• Game Progress & Settings: Level completion, bonus words, coins, cosmetics choices, audio/haptics preferences, and in-game boosts are stored on your device and synced to iCloud via Apple-provided containers. This data is only tied to your Apple ID and never pulled from other accounts.
• Player Identity: When you opt into Game Center, Apple shares your player identifier, nickname, and leaderboard/achievement records. We do not access your Apple ID email or password.
• Device & Diagnostic Data: We collect the minimum device identifiers, OS version, app version, and crash logs required to troubleshoot issues. This is handled via Expo and aggregated; it is never used for advertising.
• Advertising Identifiers: Google AdMob reads your device advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow personalized ads on your device. This enables rewarded ads (Hints/Reveals) and non-intrusive banner placement while respecting Apple’s ATT choices.
• In-App Purchases: Remove Ads is fulfilled entirely through Apple’s purchase flow. We only retain the transaction receipt and restore token necessary to honor the ad-free unlock.

How We Use Data

Your data is used solely to operate the game and honor purchases:

• Sync progress, cosmetics, and settings across devices via iCloud so you can pick up where you left off.
• Update leaderboards/achievements when you grant Game Center access.
• Deliver rewarded and banner ads through AdMob and grant Hint/Reveals rewards when ads finish.
• Keep the app stable with crash logs and diagnostic data.

Third Parties

• Apple: iCloud, GameKit, and the App Store handle authentication, progress syncing, purchases, and review metadata. We rely on Apple for secure storage and do not duplicate any Apple credentials.
• Google AdMob: Delivers banner and rewarded ads. See Google Privacy Policy for how AdMob uses data.

Data Retention & Security

• Progress and settings remain until you delete the app or manually reset them. iCloud versions stay until you delete them from your iCloud storage.
• We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS) for all data in transit. Local data stores are sandboxed by iOS.
• Only authorized team members at 404 Games Limited access aggregated diagnostic reports.

Your Choices

• Use the iOS Settings → Privacy → Tracking toggle to stop AdMob from accessing your IDFA.
• Disable Game Center or iCloud syncing in Apple settings if you prefer purely local saves.
• Request deletion or access to your data by emailing support@wordforgegame.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

The game is not directed to children under 13. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children. If a parent discovers their child shared data, contact us to remove it.

Changes

We may update this policy to reflect new features. When changes are significant, we will post the new Effective Date at the top of this page.
